Hello!

Well hello there fellow crafters, sorry its taken me awhile to write another blog post the reason will become clear later on in this post lol.

I finally finshed the crochet blanket for my nephew ( just waiting for him to put in a appearence now), due date the 22nd so not long now, here is the said blanket, let me know what you think! 
I have also been trying out cabling for the first time and have now finshed a scarf, photos will be put up soon as the sun comes back out.
The reason for me trying cabling other then trying out new things is i want to knit a handbag and matching purse for my sisters birthday and i wanted it to have cables so i had to teach myself to cable knit!.

Also on folksy they have a promotion going where sellers can join in by listing one item a day everyday of the month and for some sellers it seems to be working quite well, i've been checking out the listings and they look good.
I want to be able to join in one month but it seems to take me soo long to knit items i'm trying to do some now so at least i have enough for 2 weeks which would then give me enough time to make items for the last 2 weeks, so far i have enough for 5 days!! ( see i told you i was slow!).

and that is just a few , well  i thought if nothing else i would have a full shop by the end of the month, mind you fingers crossed for a sale as i have'nt had one on folksy since march.
Luckliy i have had custom orders to keep me going!.

well i'd best get back to the knitting or i wont make september or august lol. 

Wow

Is'nt it hot today?, much as i love to see the sun for us knitters it plays havoc with our crafting!.
I have run out of white dk that i needed to finsh off the crochet baby blanket i'm crocheting for my nephew due this month!! but what with a ill child i have'nt been able to get out to get some.
So i decided in my strange wisdom to knit a scarf, i'm trying out cable knitting for the first time and i thought a scarf would give me enough scope to get it right, because i want to knit my sister a bag and matching purse for her birthday on the 17th of august.
If anyone has any tips they would like to pass on then i would be most grateful!.
